Refund and Cancellation

Refunds

SmartCollect acts solely as a technology platform for payment facilitation.

SmartCollect does not control or approve refunds.

All refund decisions are made by the merchant or service provider receiving the payment.

Customers must contact the merchant directly regarding refund requests.

Platform Fees

Any service or platform fees charged by SmartCollect are non-refundable under all circumstances.

Payment Disputes

Payment disputes must be resolved between the payer and the merchant.
SmartCollect may assist in providing transaction information where required.

Mandate Cancellation

Payers may cancel payment mandates by contacting:

  • the merchant receiving payment

  • their bank

  • the payment system used for authorization

SmartCollect does not directly cancel mandates.

Failed Transactions

If a payment fails, the platform may retry the transaction according to the payment schedule.

SmartCollect shall not be responsible for:

  • bank declines

  • insufficient balance

  • technical issues at the payer’s bank

  • charges applied by banks or merchants

SmartCollect shall also not be responsible for failures caused by payment partner infrastructure, bank processing systems, network disruptions, or regulatory restrictions affecting payment processing.
